Mission

The Friends of the West End Branch of the Boston Public Library is a 501(c)(3) non-profit volunteer organization, established over 25 years ago, that supports the branch library’s needs. Through membership dues, book sales, and other fundraising, we help finance and support activities, supplies, and services to benefit everyone in the community who utilizes the West End Branch Library.

We Help Support

  • The maintenance of the garden spaces
  • Children’s programs
  • Wednesday afternoon movie series
  • Subscriptions to premium services (i.e. NYT, Zoom)
  • Programs, supplies, and services for the Branch that are not part of the BPL budget
